There’s nothing worse than struggling to find your headphones or tissues or hand-sanitzer in your travel bag. After trying numerous bags over the years, I’m happy to say that I’ve found one that I’m ecstatic about. It accompanied me to NYC last month and was the perfect companion, with tons of pockets and spaces for all of my gadgets and goodies. If you’re looking to invest in a great quality, stylish travel/laptop bag, check out the Lo & Sons O.G. Bag!
It’s winter and you know what that means — cold season is here. I’m still recovering from a long, brutal cold virus and sinus infection. What helped me get through? Long soaks in a hot sea salt, eucalyptus bath. It’s kind of my cure all for everything. If you’re not into DIYing your own, this jar of eucalyptus infused dead sea salts from AHAVA is worth every single penny. It will help detox your system as well as soothe bronchial irritations that result from being sick. Not a fan of baths? Though I highly recommend them, if for some reason you can’t do a bath, try these shower tablets or make your own!
I’m not stating anything new by saying that singer Lorde is a force to be reckoned with. At only 18 years old, she has taken the airwaves by storm since she broke onto the music scene. And I for one, couldn’t be happier for her. Her style, presence and relaxed attitude are refreshing. Not to mention her maturity and depth. Right now I can’t get enough of the song Yellow Flicker Beat which was featured in the latest Hunger Games film. Excuse me while I fan girl out and listen to it again!
I’m a long time user of all of In Fiore’s products and have written about them here before. Even so, I felt I had to spread the good word about Fleur Vibrante today. After I got sick and reluctantly took some antibiotics, I ended up with a photosensitive rash after forgetting to lather up with sunblock a few days ago. If you’ve ever had this type of rash you’ll know it feels like a terrible sunburn (in other words – it sucks!). Luckily I always have a jar of Fleur Vibrante on hand and it is so incredibly soothing. It’s loaded with ingredients that heal scarring, burns, acne marks, sun damage, you name it! Plus all of the ingredients are non-toxic and natural. *swoon* If it’s possible to fall in love with a product, well, I think I have.
Brewing tea is an art form, as I’ve learned time and time again. Water too hot? Your green tea is gonna taste incredibly bitter. Tea leaves old? Your cup is going to lack flavor, depth and the full experience of the tea. Yes, I’m a bit of a tea snob. And in 2015, I’ve decided to own it and invested in the Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp Cordless Electric Kettle. With pre-programmed boiling temperatures suited to an array of tea varietals, I am sure to have the perfect cup every single time. Plus it keeps the water warm if you’re a multiple-cup drinker like myself. I’ve been using it for a few days and I’m hooked. Add this to your Amazon Wishlist. It will change your life (and your cup of tea)!
We all have a deep sense of intuition (where we just inexplicably know stuff). But sometimes our lifestyle, diet and mental junk can get in the way of us being able to hear what our intuition is trying to tell us. It’s important to clear out the clutter and the new year is as good a time as any! I’m a big fan of Dr. Alejandro Junger’s Clean Program. It supports your body, mind and spirit while you’re cleansing (not starving). It’s all laid out for you (protein powders, supplements and more) and there’s plenty of support to help you get through the three weeks. I can’t recommend this program highly enough. In fact, I’ll be hopping on board myself next month. Happy cleansing!
I’m such a fan of I Am That Girl, a Santa Monica, CA based non-profit that is dedicted to both local and online education-based programs that address the emotional, mental and physical well-being of girls. They have an online platform (with celebrity support in spades) featuring curated and user generated content that is as inspiring as it is educational. Young women are our future. Let’s help them rise, together! Find out more + donate to support the I Am That Girl mission, here.
