What I Can’t Live Without
“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
I make no apologies for the fact that I adore beautiful things.
Beauty is subjective for sure.
But some things defy even subjectivity.
Some things are infinitely, profoundly beautiful because they exist.
Like the stars.
For me, beauty is tied to my senses.
And the senses are elevational.
They can help connect you to the world around you and to your inner world in ways you never thought possible.
I can’t live without beauty.
Whether in the traditional sense:
A sunset. A perfect flower arrangement.
Or in a more subjective sense:
An imperfectly baked pie. Torn jeans. The pain of loss.
All of the above are beautiful things, to me. Beauty isn’t just what we see gracing the pages of Harper’s Bazaar or in those perfectly composed Instagram shots. It’s in the moments of our lives that are imperfect, and maybe even a little sad. It’s in everything.
What do you find beautiful? What does the concept or word beauty mean to you? Take a look around you right now, and find one unconventionally beautiful thing that you love. If you’d like, share it with us on Instagram (be sure to tag @TGWKmagazine), or leave us a note below.
And just because . . . here are a few other things I currently can’t live without:
Have a beautiful week (filled of things you can’t live without)!
