You know those moments when even the simplest task feels impossible?

All you want to do is crawl back into bed and give up.

Maybe your boss has finally pushed you over the edge and you’re two seconds from quitting. Or you work tirelessly towards something you are passionate about, but it constantly feels like an uphill battle and you can’t ever catch a moment to breathe.

Those moments… when you just want to QUIT. Sound familiar?

I know in those moments I can feel pretty crazy, exhausted, and like the world is ending all in one.
So, what’s a girl to do?!

Some people push through it by numbing out or escaping in food, love, or worse.
Others emotionally lash out or go through with quitting and then there’s no taking it back.

What if instead you unleash pleasure!

Say… what?!??

This may be a completely foreign concept (especially when you’re feeling anything BUT pleasure). Or you might already be aboard the pleasure train. No matter which camp you fall into, when you get to the point of giving up, you’re most likely completely out of touch with pleasure.

Pleasure = freedom + expression.
You feel lit up with possibility!

Here are a few of my tried + true ways to get some pleasure mojo back in your life.

  • Allow yourself to be stuck. Wherever you’re at is just right for this moment.
  • Notice if you are craving anything. Your senses are a good place to start.
    It could be…
The taste of your favorite ice cream.
The touch from a cuddle with your furry friend.
The pleasing sights during a walk in a museum.
The smells while sitting in your garden.
The sound as you listen to music.
Or the feeling of a big ol’ cry.
  • Give yourself permission to indulge in whatever you’re craving!!!

Set aside some time to fully explore what would feel deliciously satisfying right now. How, what, when, where, is up to you, your schedule, and how deep into quits-ville you’ve lost yourself.

Even if you can only find 5 minutes, igniting your pleasure is the single best thing to do when you’re ready to call it quits.

Once you’ve indulged yourself, you can come back and explore your frustrations and concerns a bit further back from the ledge when you are feeling happier, healthier, and more open to new possibilities.

So… what are YOU craving more of in your life right now? Are you willing to give yourself some of that today?
