One thing I learned in a bi-cultural household is how important it is to have an open mind, be flexible, and embrace changes and differences. This concept is something I apply directly to my life along with my time spent in the kitchen.

While I am a sucker for 100% traditional dishes and deeply respect old traditions and flavors, I also really love fusion food. There’s something beautiful about combining two very different things that mean a lot to you into something that is totally unique.

It’s always a pleasant surprise to find out that certain ingredients and flavors that started out so far apart actually end up tasting great together!

In the spirit of fusion, here’s a recipe that I love and that you might want to incorporate into your next football game day or other equally relaxing and festive gathering.
