We at The Girl Who Knows wholeheartedly believe that social change is where it it’s at!
With every purchase of a physical product, digital product or event ticket (basically anything created by us here on this website), we give a portion of your hard-earned dollars to a non-profit organization.
When you invest in your own growth through our products and experiences and are inspired to connect with others through our in-person events, you’re not only helping yourself, but you’re helping support others in need. It’s a win-win!
Below is a list of the current organizations we’re supporting. We hope that you’ll take a look at what they are doing to inspire change in the world. We have no doubt that after reading more, you’ll want to join us in lending your support!
Make-A-Wish is committed to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, to enrich their lives with hope, strength and joy. Our Curator-in-Chief, Stephanie Watanabe is particularly fond of this ‘cause. Her God-Daughter, Marielle Haley Scott, was diagnosed with SMA and passed away at the age of 4 years old, just before Cinderella made it to her home to grant her her big wish. Because of this experience, Stephanie wants to help the organization to reach more children and spread the love of Make-A-Wish.

Pencils of Promise (PoP) was founded in 2008 by Adam Braun and has turned into a global movement of passionate individuals who are committed to supporting a world with greater educational opportunity for all. They reach into some of the highest need communities around the globe and create sustainable schools and programs.
PoP is one of the few non-profits out there who operate with a 100% direct giving policy. This means that 100% of every dollar donated online goes DIRECTLY into their programs to educate children. They cover operational costs via private donors, events, etc. This means that you know exactly where your dollars are going!
