Johanna Tropiano

Conscious Closets + The MEND Project

Website

Johanna Tropiano has spent the last eight years working with International Justice Mission and other organizations on justice related human rights issues, such as human trafficking, violence towards women and children, and police brutality. She is a survivor of domestic violence, and as a result, Johanna is a passionate advocate for those who have no voice. Her passion for human rights also led her to start her own ethical lifestyle blog, called Conscious Closets where she challenges others to think critically about shopping less and saving lives. Her work has been published in multiple media outlets, including The Huffington Post, Darling Magazine, The Yellow Conference, Holl and Lane, and others. In 2016, she co-founded The Mend Project with Annette Oltmans.
