Absolutely!
If your birthday has passed and you want to do the experience before your NEXT birthday, you can purchase it any time. After checkout, you will be taken to a special page, where you’ll enter the date of your upcoming birthday (so for instance, 12/13/2015). That’s all you have to do. TBME will automatically begin 31 days before your next birthday. Easy peasy.
If your birthday has passed and you would like to do the program for your “unbirthday“, you’re welcome to select any date, 31+ days into the future. Again, you’ll be able to select the specific day, once you purchase the program.
Yes you can. After you input your upcoming birthdate into the form after payment, you will begin receiving emails for the remaining days until your birthday.
For example: if you have 14 days left until your birthday, you will start TBME on Day 14 of the program. The emails were designed to build on each other, but can also stand on their own as well, so you’ll still get a lot of the experience, even though you’re missing a few days.
Please note that at this time we are unable to send you the previous days missed emails.
Yes! In fact, I recommend purchasing well in advance (it’s kind of a nice surprise to wake up one morning to your first email message, since you forgot that you signed up 8 months before)!
Once you go through the payment process you’ll land on a page where you’ll input the date of your upcoming birthday (i.e. 12/13/2015). After you do this, our system will work its magic and begin delivering emails to you, starting 31 days before your big day. Tada! Super easy.
TBME is designed as a self-guided, experiential product. This means that you will only get out of it, what you put into it. It’s important to do each day’s celebratory mission and read through the emails in their entirety. Because of the price point and nature of this product, we do not offer refunds.
This one is really up to you. Throughout TBME I offer suggestions on how to best celebrate yourself during the month. Most of these suggestions simply require you + a notebook + a pen + a camera + an internet connection.
However, some of the suggestions involve going out for a bite, treating yo’self to something sweet, indulging with a spa treatment or mani+pedi, etc. I make these suggestions because too often we don’t allow ourselves to experience everyday life’s little luxuries. Too often we put ourselves last. And doing something that feels borderline indulgent, is actually a brilliant tool for cultivating self-love and gratitude.
If indulging financially isn’t feasible, not to worry. Instead, come up with your own celebratory actions that don’t involve money. It could be cooking up a meal at home and watching your favorite movie. Or going on a hike. Or taking photos at the local botanical gardens. The sky’s the limit here!

And I love you for asking this question! Yes they can. But there are a few things worth noting. Obviously I’m a woman and I created this from my female perspective on the world. All of the guest editors are also ladies. So there is definitely a feminine slant to this experience.
However, if you’re an open-minded guy, with a desire to celebrate yourself in new ways and find more love for your birthday, then you will most definitely get a lot out of TBME!
